This year, Ukrainians celebrate Christmas on December 25.
On this special day, the whole family and closest people usually gather around the festive table, which traditionally has 12 dishes.
The list of dishes may differ in different regions of Ukraine, but the main positions are unchanged: dumplings and cabbage rolls, kutya, mushrooms and fish are a must.
After the treat, all family members sing carols and wish each other happiness and joy.
A wonderful tradition is gathering in small nativity scenes.
