Now is the most ideal period for recreation in the Carpathian region, because June is the rainiest month in the Carpathians, and it is rare to plan a trip to the mountains in this month without getting caught in torrential rain. But October is the driest period in the Carpathians, which makes it the best time to go to the mountains alone or with the family! Autumn is the perfect time for a relaxing holiday in the Carpathians.

Tourists who have repeatedly visited this region choose the autumn period for themselves. It is at this time that it is quiet and calm and a fairly stable weather is established, which can last for several days. In the summer, red rue, rhododendrons, daffodils and other flowers bloom in the mountains. In September, it is no longer there, but there are many berries: blueberries, lingonberries and many others. Also, our region is rich in varieties of mushrooms. Therefore, your quiet rest smoothly turns into a quiet hunt!
Rent a house, cottage or just book a hotel room with a view of the mountains! During this period, nature begins to dress in yellow, velvet, bright and crimson colors, which carries a special atmosphere of relaxation and rest. For the autumn Carpathians, “pacification” is characteristic, and for the guests, “unity” with nature!
If you want to combine activities during your vacation, you can diversify your vacation in the Carpathians with hikes, excursions, and dedicate a few days of your vacation to nature contemplation and slow walks. Also, try going on an educational tour or going on a hike, go horseback riding, or drive quad bikes along the trails of the autumn mountains. In the Carpathians, there is a huge selection of simple one-day hikes, when you do not need to climb a high mountain, but instead – take a leisurely walk surrounded by nature and see a lot of new things.

Silent hunting is one of the favorite activities in autumn. What could be better than a leisurely walk through a quiet forest. Especially when you return home with a full basket of fragrant fresh mushrooms. Usually, the two months with the highest yields are September and October. With the onset of frost, in November, there are few mushrooms. Although in the Carpathians, even until the first days of December, white mushrooms are found in grass covered with frost. And mushroom pickers have their own beliefs, you should always go for mushrooms when there is a new moon in the sky. But where exactly you should go to collect a basket full of forest trophies – no mushroom picker will tell you. Anyone who is fond of mushrooms and has been going to the forest for years makes such a “treasure map” for himself and does not give out his “mushroom points” just like that. There are many forests rich in mushrooms in the Lviv Region. But the mushroom picker is convinced: there is no specific place.
